RAF Veteran Funeral

(0)
A campaign has been started after funeral directors feared that a WW2 RAF hero would not receive the send off he deserves. Sidney Marshall, who died on June 16 aged 90, was a rear gunner on a Lancaster bomber during the Second World War, and flew 28 missions, including a bombing raid on D-Day. Despite being a renowned veteran, Mr Marshall’s old age meant he had few friends or family left, and undertaker Eddie Jacobs fears no one would attend the service to honour the war hero.

Scientists trained African cichlids, a popular aquarium fish, to eat in a particular part of their tank – and found they returned there to be fed after a two-week break. The findings prove fish are actually quite brainy, say researchers.
